Why choose BA Honours International Business (extended programme)?
In today's economy the parameters of business are global, and not confined to location. Our innovative degree will prepare you for an exciting international career, and prime you with the knowledge and skills to succeed in a global marketplace.
Why study BA Honours International Business Middlesex (extended programme)?
You will study within a truly international Business School [link to School page], supported by expert tutors with extensive international experience, drawn from across the business disciplines. Our degree is focused on global strategy, cultural communication and intercultural ethics, coupled with developing the personal skills required to succeed in a complex, fast-paced international business environment. Through studying a broad range of modules you will learn the fundamentals of marketing, human resource management, economics, operations management and accounting.
What is an extended programme?
By starting your studies early, in the summer period, our course allows you to achieve an Honours degree in three years, beginning with an additional introductory module: Preparing for Business. This means that students who gained fewer UCAS points than expected can accelerate their studies and get ahead in the business world. The additional module will develop your confidence and introduce you to core business principles. Upon successful completion in January, you will join the rest of the BA Business Management students to complete your degree.
We encourage you to take a paid, year-long, work placement during year three, in an international firm, without accruing additional tuition fees
We offer a one year study abroad option in your second year linked to one of our partner universities in Europe and the USA as well as the option to join the EU Erasmus programme for one year, which can include a contribution to your tuition fees
We normally make offers on a minimum of 200 UCAS tariff points. BTEC National Diploma/International Baccalaureate/Advanced & Progression Diplomas at equivalent tariff. Access to HE - Pass. Applications from candidates without formal qualifications are welcomed.
International entry requirements
We accept the equivalent of the above from a recognised overseas qualification, to find out more about the requirements from your country, see further information under support in your country. For details of other equivalent requirements that Middlesex accepts see entry requirements.
English language requirements
You must have competence in English language and we normally require Grade C GCSE or an equivalent qualification. The most common English Language requirements for international students are IELTS 6.0 (with minimum 5.5 in all four components).
Middlesex also offers an Intensive Academic English course (Pre-Sessional) that ranges from 5-17 weeks depending on your level of English. Successful completion of this course would meet English language entry requirements. For more information on applying for the pre-sessional please email email@example.com.
Entry into year two or three (transfer students)
If you have achieved a qualification such as a foundation degree or HND, or have gained credit at another university, you may be able to enter a Middlesex course in year two or three. For full details of how this works see transfer students.
Students entering into year two can enrol for either the September 2012 or Januray 2013 start dates.
UK/EU applicants with existing higher education qualifications
If you have already been awarded a qualification at the same level as the course you are applying for, you may not be eligible for a tuition fee loan, see fees and funding for more information.
