    Conference: The Intercultural Education of Nurses in Europe

    The overall aim of the IENE project is to create the approaches, methods and tools for the intercultural education of nurses and other healthcare professionals participating in European mobility or working with patients from other cultures.

    Professor Irena Papadopoulos will be running the IENE (Intercultural Education of Nurses in Europe) conference. The IENE project, lead by Professor Papadopoulos, was funded by the European Commission's Leonardo Da Vinci lifelong learning programme. The overall aim of the IENE project is to create the approaches, methods and tools for the intercultural education of nurses and other healthcare professionals participating in European mobility or working with patients from other cultures.

    Issues to be highlighted include:

    • The transfer of innovation processeses and challenges
    • The IENE ‘train the trainer’ model
    • Access to IENE outputs
    • Post-completion sustainability of the project results

    Time: 9am-4:30pm

    Location: HG19, Hatchcroft Building, Hendon campus, Middlesex University
