    Professor Benjamin Dwyer delivers his inaugural lecture, followed by a recital of his work 'Umbilical'

    Professor Benjamin Dwyer

    Newly appointed to the School of Media & Performing Arts, Professor of Music Benjamin Dwyer's inaugural lecture will be titled, 'Excavating the Irrational - Gender and Tragedy in Music' (Reflections on the chamber work Umbilical by Benjamin Dwyer').

    A performance of his work, Umbilical, will then be given by Maya Homburger (baroque violin), Barry Guy (double bass) and David Adams (harpsichord).

    5.30pm - 5.45pm: Break

    5.45pm - 6.45pm: Recital in the Concert Room (G274), Grove II

    6.45pm - 7.15pm: Buffet and drinks served in the Grove Atrium, 2nd floor mezzanine
