A day-long conference bringing together the world’s foremost companies and leading thinkers to debate on this year's theme of 'The Art of Collaboration vs The Art of War.

Each year Middlesex University supports Consalia’s Global Sales Transformation conference that brings together the world’s foremost companies and leading thinkers to debate on various topics around sales. These thought provoking events allow senior level executives from Fortune500 type companies to draw on the insights and best practices of field experts of how to transform their business faster and more effectively than their competitors. The event will provide an opportunity to engage with C-level leaders and practitioners, shaping the sales environment of tomorrow

At a time when we are exalted to sell "provocatively", to follow the tenets of Sun Tzu's Art of war, we also see the rapid evolution of our clients' buying cycles, facilitated through the breathtaking revolution of the internet. If speed matters, as it increasingly seems to, isn't collaboration a better fit to the age of 'the empowered consumer'? How can we then ensure sales effectiveness to remain relevant, competitive and profitable?

In seeking to answer this question, GST7 will explore The 'Art of Collaboration' vs The 'Art of War', bringing together expert authorities to speak on this spectrum of attitudes, to assess which approach is better now and which will gain ground in the near future.

    Speakers confirmed so far include:

    • Professor Hum Sin Hoon, Deputy Dean, NUS (National University Singapore) Business School
    • Sir Lawrence Freedman, Professor of War Studies at Kings College London and foreign policy advisor during the Blair administration
    • Derek Fryer, Main Board Director at Mott MacDonald
    • Hugh Wilson, Professor of Strategic Marketing and Director of Cranfield Customer Management Forum
    • Adam Sheppard, Managing Director Toshiba UK
