Middlesex University Concert Room, Grove B building, The Burroughs, Hendon, London, NW4 4BT
For the latest event in out Concerts & Colloquia series, Anna Russell will attend Middlesex to host the AR Initiative's signature seminar.
Understanding that from its exterior the commercial music industry can appear to be a closed shop, 'Demystifying the Music Industry' aims to do exactly that and encourage all those who wish to succeed in music to move forward with their personal goals.
While motivation and luck alone are not enough to carve out a successful career in any field, quitting before you've truly started should not be an option – especially for the creative, entrepreneurial and industrious.
AR believes there is room within the music industry for all the talented individuals who want to be there, but too often it doesn't feel this way from the outside. It is this mindset among aspiring artists and future business leaders they aim to change.
'Demystifying the Music Industry' is just the first step in encouraging you to either get started if you haven't yet, or change direction if you don't know where to turn next. Meeting and working with a group of likeminded musicians, songwriters, producers and those interested in the business side of music, you will leave the workshop with a clear idea of what your next steps are and an action plan to begin taking these right away.
Our weekly Concerts and Colloquia series brings high-calibre guest speakers and performers from across music to Middlesex.
Hosted by the Music department, all events are free and will be followed by refreshments. Guests can simply turn up, tickets are not required. If you have any questions please contact Nick Nikeforou.
