Ravensfield Theatre, Middlesex University, The Burrough, Hendon, London, NW4 4BT
For two days in October More Storm Festival takes over the Ravensfield Theatre – filling every nook and cranny of the building with exciting new performances and works-in-progress from an incredibly diverse and dynamic line-up of artists and theatre companies.
In the Blackbox, the gorgeous main space, you can expect the same bold, visual and eclectic new theatre More Storm is renowned for.
The More Storm Festival also comes equipped with comedy, storytelling and spoken word in the Bluebox – the brand new intimate studio space.
Upstairs in the Minibox you can encounter special free performances specifically designed for just one audience member, and there will be plenty more performances, installations and surprises popping up elsewhere in and around the building.
Highlights from a packed weekend include Chokolatl, where Sebastian Hau-Walker will be cooking up chocolate-based recipes for his audience while telling the story of his Mexican/British heritage...
Tea Towel Reading where Queenie Tea invites you to share a cuppa and help remove her makeup – thereby revealing your future…
Theatre Arts staff members Pedro de Senna and Lesley Lightfoot tell stories of bad Elvis karaoke nights and a lifetime of "thanks but no thanks" auditions; graduate storytelling company The Wild Tapestry will share an intimate double bill of traditional tales, and stand-up veteran Huw Thomas presides over the More Storm Comedy Scratch – which promises to delight and disgust in equal measure!
For tickets and the full line-up head over to the More Storm website.
