The School of Art and Design at Middlesex University is a vibrant creative community, led by world class artists, designers and thinkers, who inspire our students to create work in a state-of-the-art building in north London. Our students win national and international prizes and go onto exciting careers in the creative and cultural industries in the UK and all around the world.
Our end-of-year show features more than 500 students and is visited by over 5,000 people, including leading employers from the cultural and creative industries. Our exhibition is one of the highlights of the season and the biggest single art and design graduate show in central London.
Students from the following degrees are involved: BA Animation, BA 3D Animation and Games, BA Fine Art, BA Graphic Design, BA Illustration, BA Photography, BA Fashion Design, BA Fashion Communication and Styling, BA Fashion Textiles, BA Jewellery, BA Interior Architecture, BA Interior Design, BA/BSc Product Design, BEng Engineering Design.
The event is organised in conjunction with Free Range – an Old Truman Brewery special project set up by Tamsin O'Hanlon to provide new creative graduates with the opportunity to showcase their work on an international level. Since its inception in 2001, Free Range has become the number one platform and launch pad for the next crop of creatives to showcase their work to both public and industry. Attracting visitor numbers to rival the largest art events, the annual Free Range exhibitions present the work of thousands of art, design students in several distinct categories including: fashion, art, graphics, photography and interior design.
