During LGBT History Month John Soper and Neil McDonald MBE lead a group discussion on the effects of LGBT bullying in the workplace and higher education

19% of LGB (lesbian, gay and bisexual) staff have experienced verbal bullying in the workplace in the past year and 42% of trans staff don't work in their preferred gender role because they fear it might threaten their employment status.

During LGBT History Month John Soper, HR Adviser at Middlesex University and Neil McDonald MBE, former executive officer for HR at the Home Office, lead a group discussion on the effects of LGBT bullying (physical and mental violence) in the workplace and higher education. They will explore the language we use, the assumption of difference being inferior, how to identify HBT bullying, how it can be reported and how allies can stand up to stop HBT bullying.
