Peer Support and Open Dialogue: A Critical Overview in Research, Policy and Practice

Welcome to the 2nd annual conference of the Centre for Co-Production in Mental Health at Middlesex University and this year explores a major co-production development on the mental health service user agenda: Peer Support.

The conference seeks to explore:

  • The national and local policies underpinning Peer Support in mental health
  • The emerging research evidence carried out on this approach nationally and internationally
  • Examine the perspectives of those with lived experience of mental distress and service use who have run or experienced Peer Support in practice
  • Explore the possible next steps and new directions for these approaches, particularly Peer Supported Open Dialogue

A conference report with recommendations for practice and further research will be produced and be made available to all online.
