Paul Taylor (Artistic Director, Mute Records) joins us to discuss the importance of visual identity in the music industry. He emphasises the significance of the artist’s original creative vision when marketing an album in the digital age. His talk will include examples from the new book Mute: A Visual Document.
Paul joined Mute in 1990 in a role that developed across various areas of the company and has seen him be involved in the visual aspect of the majority of Mute’s releases since, working closely with Depeche Mode, Goldfrapp, Erasure, Josh T. Pearson, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Liars, Can, and the rest of the Mute roster.
This event is open to students, staff and the public. Attendance is free and no registration is required.
