'The Therapeutic Use of Animals' is a one day event focusing on assistance and support through animals.

The first part is a show case event where organisations specialising in providing assistance and support through animals will share information and talk about their work. Guide Dogs For The Blind, Hearing Dogs For The Deaf, Medical Detection Dogs, Pets As Therapy, Read 2 Dogs, Riding For The Disabled, Cinnamon Trust, PDSA, Cats Protection, Hypo Hounds, Dogs On The Streets Of London, Assistance Dogs are only a few organisations attending the event.

This event is combined with an artwork exhibition that includes 2D and 3D works that express children and young adults interpretation and/or meaning of animals in their life. Artworks are achieved by children and young adults from our placement areas (general children’s ward and SEN schools).

The second part of the event is an Inter-professional Learning session aimed at people who want to learn more about the different roles which animals play in our lives to support and assist us in our daily living and activities.

Book your place for the IPL session here.

For further details of this one day event please see the Event flyer here.

Guide dogs will be on premises at this event.
