Applying for accommodation in halls

New students

If you have accepted an offer of a place on a course at Middlesex University:

  • You can make an application using our online application facility. This facility is not available through the Google Chrome browser.
  • Pay the £200 deposit online. The following credit or debit cards are accepted: Maestro, Switch, Visa Credit, MasterCard, Visa Debit (Delta) and Solo

If you have not yet accepted your offer of a place on a course:

  • You will be unable to apply for accommodation until the place on the course has been accepted

If you are an international student who has applied through one of our overseas regional offices and been offered a place on a course by them:

  • Make an application using our online application facility. This facility is not available through the Google Chrome browser
  • Pay the £200 deposit online
    Or:
  • Make an application via your regional office and pay your £200 deposit directly to them

What happens next?

  1. If you hold an ‘unconditional’ offer status with Middlesex University 
    • From May, an offer for a room in the halls of residence will be made within 7 days of your application being submitted, subject to availability and distance rules (see halls of residence page)
    • If you have not received an offer of accommodation within 7 days please contact us via email at accomm@mdx.ac.uk or by calling +44 (0)20 8411 6121
    • Your offer for a room in the halls of residence will be sent to you as an email attachment and you should therefore ensure that you check your email account (including junk/bulk mail) regularly
  2. If you currently hold a ‘conditional’ offer status with Middlesex University
    •  We will be unable to consider you for accommodation until your status has been confirmed
    •  Once your exam results are received and your status changes to ‘unconditional’ we will make you an offer for a room in the halls of residence, subject to availability and distance rules (see halls of residence page) 
    •  If you have not received an offer of accommodation within seven days of your results being known please contact us via email at accomm@mdx.ac.uk or by calling +44 (0)20 8411 6121
    • Your offer for a room in the halls of residence will be sent to you as an email attachment and you should therefore ensure that you check your email account (including junk/bulk mail) regularly
  3. If you have applied through a regional office and accepted a place at Middlesex University via the regional office
    •  An offer for a room in the halls of residence will be made within seven days of your application being submitted, subject to availability
    •  If you have not received an offer within seven days of your application please contact your regional office
    •  Your offer for a room in the halls of residence will be sent to you as an email attachment and you should therefore ensure that you check your email account (including junk/bulk mail) regularly

Existing students

Students without any holds against their record can use myUniHub to access the online application facilty and pay the £200 deposit required from 1 March. However the application will not be looked at until 12 September. If we are unable to offer you a room your deposit will be refunded.
