Student exchanges
Middlesex University offers one of the most comprehensive exchange programmes in the UK. You can go on exchange on most of our degree programmes – from Jazz to Nursing, Politics to Business - and we have over 100 different European exchange partners to choose from, and more than 30 exchange partners spread across the rest of the world.
If you opt to study for a term or a year at one of our partner universities then you will still earn credits and grades and they will count towards your Middlesex degree.
You can do this as part of a three-year degree, so your time spent studying abroad is instead of time spent at Middlesex, meaning you can still graduate after just three years. Or if you want to study for three years at Middlesex you may do your exchange as part of a four-year ‘sandwich’ degree.
Employers have highlighted a need to find graduates who can show they can work in increasingly international teams. By adding an exchange to your degree you can demonstrate to employers your ability to adapt and work in another culture or language.
Support and funding
European exchanges are supported by the Erasmus Programme, the European Commission’s educational programme for higher education students, teachers and institutions.
