We want to develop your abilities, broaden your experience and help you leave your course ready for a career in your chosen field. We provide individual support through dedicated teams that can help you:
- Get work experience while at university
- Prepare yourself for a career after university
- And even spend a year abroad as part of your study
Work placements
Before they have even completed their course many Middlesex students do a work placement, assisted by our network of placement offices and their specialised knowledge and contacts. You can gain experience and skills in your chosen field on short internships, voluntary work or even a year-long placement.
Student exchange
All our students have the chance to spend a year studying abroad as part of their degree course, no matter what you choose to study. You can opt to do this for a single term, or a whole year and we offer a better choice of partners in all subjects than similar universities. We believe a year at a foreign university will broaden your experience, put you at ease in new cultures and build your confidence for the future.
Careers Service
Through a combination of workshops, one-to-one advice and employer events we help our students focus their ambitions on realistic career goals, become a candidate employers cannot refuse and conduct efficient and productive job searches. Our services are available throughout your time at Middlesex and beyond, giving you support whenever you need it.
