Middlesex in top ten for graduate salaries

Middlesex has been ranked among the top UK universities for graduate salaries, alongside Oxford and Cambridge, demonstrating how employers are recognising the talent and skills of Middlesex graduates

The research report, carried out by the Parthenon Group, shows that Middlesex is better than most UK universities on employment outcomes for its students, meaning you’re well placed to succeed in an increasingly competitive job market.

Work placements

  • Free placement year: Middlesex students will not pay tuition fees if they choose to boost their career prospects with a year-long placement.

Many Middlesex students complete a work placement during their course. Our placement officers use their specialist knowledge and contacts to help you find a placement that’s right for you. You can gain experience and skills in your chosen field on short internships, voluntary work or even a year-long placement.

Student exchanges

Every Middlesex student has the chance to spend a year studying overseas as part of their degree course. Middlesex offers more choice of international destinations than many other universities and you can opt to spend a single term or a whole year overseas.

We believe a year at a university in another country will broaden your experience, put you at ease in new cultures and build your confidence for the future.

Careers Service

Through a combination of workshops, one-to-one advice and employer events, our careers service will help you focus your ambitions on realistic career goals. You will learn valuable skills including how to conduct efficient and productive job searches.

Our services are available throughout your time at Middlesex and beyond, giving you support whenever you need it.

Volunteering will enhance your CV

Middlesex students contributed more than 1,000 hours to volunteering projects during 2010-11.

Volunteering activities can make you stand out and gain the edge over your competitors for jobs. Employers value the skills, commitment and maturity that volunteering develops; evidence of volunteering on your CV can make all the difference to recruiters faced with candidates with similar qualifications.
