Archway and Hospitals
Archway is our specialist healthcare campus, and is adjacent to our teaching facilities at the Whittington hospital: we also have three other centres at London hospitals: Chase Farm, North Middlesex and the Royal Free. Your academic study is combined with hands-on clinical practice at each of these sites.
Nursing, midwifery, complementary health, sport science and social work.
- Our Clinical Skills Centre contains video communication suites and simulated hospital wards for you to learn specific practical skills.
- The Human Performance Laboratory is a fully equipped human physiology and biomechanics facility, which focuses on sport and exercise science and medicine. Partners include the Royal Ballet and the English Institute of Sport.
- The Archway Clinic of Herbal Medicine and the Asante Academy of Chinese Medicine provide on-site clinical training students on our Herbal Medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine and Chinese Medicine degree courses as well as promoting research into the practice of these Complementary health care systems.
- The multi-disciplinary Archway Healthcare Library provides information services for Whittington Hospital, Camden and Islington NHS Trusts, UCL and healthcare workers in north London as well as Middlesex students.
