International students: settling in
Few universities in London can claim, as we do, to truly reflect the city. London's strength and success comes from its diversity and unique mix of cultures. Our city is constantly changing - retaining a sense of tradition while also embracing the new. We are proud to reflect these aspects of London at Middlesex; many of our students are Londoners, but we also attract students from all over the world. This background gives our students the outlook they need to succeed in an increasingly global and competitive jobs market.
Your first weeks
When you arrive in London, hopefully you will have booked onto the International Orientation and therefore will have arranged your airport pick up. The first few weeks will be very busy for you. Following the International Orientation is the University Induction Programme where you will get to meet your tutors and be introduced to your course. This happens at the same time as Freshers Week - a week where the Students’ Union organise social events and opportunities to join the university clubs and societies. Then the hard work starts as classes begin.
Student Welfare Advice Team
This service is here to help you deal with any financial, practical or legal difficulties - from health and housing problems, to parenting and personal safety issues - that may arise while you are studying at Middlesex. Advisers are available for private consultation and offer personalised advice to students. They also produce information leaflets which cover key areas relevant to students.
