Student Welfare Advice
We know students can face a range of financial issues and we aim to help and advise you. We offer online and printed information, and one-to-one support through appointments and drop-in sessions to discuss any questions you may have. We can advise on a range of issues including grants and loans, fees, welfare benefits, immigration, and housing.
Welfare advice is strictly confidential
Our dedicated advice service
The Student Welfare and Advice team helps students deal with any financial, practical or legal difficulties that may arise while studying at Middlesex.
Advisers are available for private consultation and offer personalised advice to students. Advisers are based on all the main campuses and provide a non-judgemental and strictly confidential service, which means we will not discuss any of the details of your visit unless you give us permission to do so.
We run workshops relevant to specific groups of students, for example 'Finance for Lone Parents', and we also produce information leaflets called 'Rough Cuts' which cover key areas relevant to students. If we can't help you, rest assured that we will point you in the right direction to external services that can support you.
Read our dedicated Student Welfare Advice pages for current students, where you can also download 'Rough Cuts' in PDF format.
