Middlesex University Sport and Recreation offers students a wide variety of National Governing Body coaching and officiating awards, as well as first aid qualifications. You can gain sports or fitness-related qualifications in exchange for an agreed number of voluntary hours, utilising your new skills across a variety of projects.
Many students participating in this scheme go on to secure paid part-time work as sports coaches, match officials or internships.
Our Middlesex University Sports arm also runs volunteer opportunities in The Gambia and China, where students and staff deliver sports coaching to local communities.
For students who have already gained qualifications, we offer an exciting international volunteering programme, providing students with opportunities abroad on local projects including event management and leadership training. This is a fantastic way to discover different cultures, meet new people, and to make a real difference in the lives of communities outside the UK.
