    BBC journalist visits Middlesex to ask why it's kicking off everywhere

    Barnet residents are being offered the chance to hear Emmy nominated BBC Newsnight journalist, Paul Mason, discuss what lies behind the riots and revolutions occurring across the globe.

    Local residents are being offered the chance to hear Emmy nominated BBC Newsnight journalist, Paul Mason, discuss what lies behind the riots and revolutions occurring across the globe. 

    The free event, held at Middlesex University in Hendon, will see the Newsnight’s economics editor talk about his new book ‘Why it’s kicking off everywhere’ which looks at the current wave of struggle, the shift in our understanding of freedom, the role of social media and calls for new political alternatives.  

    The book launch, which takes place from 11-12.30pm on Monday 5 March (Middlesex University, Williams Building, Hendon campus, The Burroughs, London, NW4 4BT) will include an opportunity for audience questions.
