In conversation with Middlesex Professor of Law, Ziauddin Sardar, she will discuss the work of Liberty in its quest to protect civil liberties and promote human rights before answering audience questions about her work.

The event takes place from 3:30-6pm on Wednesday 7 March (Middlesex University, College Building, Hendon campus, The Burroughs, London, NW4 4BT) and will also see Middlesex University’s Dr Erica Howard launch her new book ‘Law and the Wearing of Religious Symbols.  European Bans on the Wearing of Religious Symbols in Education’.

The event is part of a series of debates titled ‘Born under one law’ organised by the Middlesex University Business School.  Other debate topics have included freedom of speech, the role of religion in society and the Arab Springs.  Future debates will look at whistleblowing and migration.
