Middlesex has joined forces with Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) with a view to launching a joint School of Social Technology and Business in Lithuania.
The new School is set to attract students both from within Lithuania and across the Baltic region, offering degree courses in subjects like banking and finance, business, digital marketing and human resource management.
Michael Driscoll, Vice-Chancellor, visited MRU to sign the agreement on behalf of Middlesex. He said: "We're delighted to work alongside a highly regarded and prestigious institution like Mykolas Romeris and this project is a great chance for our universities to learn from each other."
"We have campuses and partnerships throughout the globe and we're excited about sharing our knowledge in this region."
This is the first time a UK higher education institution has partnered with a Lithuanian university. The degree programmes on offer are expected to start in 2013.
