Local businesses are being offered tips on improving profitability from top Middlesex University experts on 3 November, as part of a national festival.
The free event at Middlesex University is open to anyone with an interest in maximising the potential of their business, particularly those that are that are either setting up or currently run small to medium sized businesses across north London.
One of the presenters, Middlesex University accountancy expert Dr Jatin Pancholi, said: “Particularly in the current economic climate there is a real need for the business world to share knowledge and help local business reduce cost and increase profit.
“There are big challenges ahead, and we’ll be looking at how to streamline management processes, which can reduce costs and increase profitability. We’ll also look at help available such as entrepreneur’s relief, something which many new business owners don’t know they can take advantage of.”
The half day seminar will look at costing and customer profitability, performance measurement, and taxation. There is also an opportunity to quiz the five Middlesex University Business School experts on how to improve your business.
The seminar is free of charge and lunch is provided – advance registration is essential.
The event takes places on 3 November in Middlesex University’s Hatchcroft building, from 13.00 – 17.00. It is sponsored by the Economic & Social Research Council as part of its tenth annual Festival of Social Science.
