Middlesex University is throwing open its doors to the public on Sunday 22 September as part of the annual London-wide Open House weekend, which showcases landmark and historic buildings across the capital.
For the first time in Middlesex University’s history, all of the campuses have been brought on to one site, and local people and architecture buffs will be able to take free tours of the expanded and impressive facilities in Hendon. This includes the University's striking glazed quadrangle – one of the largest covered spaces in London and 'The Grove' a £80 million recently purpose-built centre for creative courses, featuring state of the art workshops, TV and photography studios.
Tours will be led by University staff between 11am–5pm.
Event manager Shazia Mowlabaccus from Middlesex University said: "Open House is a great opportunity to have a look around buildings that you might have on your doorstep, but have never been inside. With the consolidation of the Middlesex campuses over the last few years to the Hendon site, local residents will have the chance to see the exciting developments that have taken place in their community.”
