Entry Requirements

Entry requirements for Middlesex University research degrees are as follows:

• MA/MSc (by research): normally an Honours degree or equivalent qualification
• MPhil (with or without possible transfer to PhD): at least a second class Honours Degree
• EngD: significant relevant experience or substantial appropriate postgraduate experience plus an Honours degree (upper second or above) or a Masters degree
• M/DProf: substantial professional experience at a senior level and normally a Masters degree (or equivalent)
• EdD: Relevant professional experience with an MA in Education (or equivalent)
• ArtsM: Current professional practice in the arts with an Honours degree (or equivalent qualification) or equivalent professional experience
• ArtsD: Current advanced practice in the arts with a Masters degree (or equivalent qualification) or equivalent professional experience and recognition

For international students for whom English is not their first language, a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 is required. See International Student Entry Requirements for further information.
