Biomedical and Health Science Group
The Biomedical and Health Science group consists of three research teams: The biomarker (molecular pathology) group, led by Professor Ray Iles(here talking to Sally Magnusson on Radio 4's 'Tracing your Roots'); the radiobiology and public health group, led by Professor Nick Priest; and the bio-modelling/bioinformatics group led by Professor Richard Bayford. These groups are linked by their common thematic objective to find better biological or imaging markers of disease and disease processes, sharing either common analytical techniques or bio-informatics in the analysis of large multi-component data sets.
