Economics

Economics is a fundamental discipline that features in most of the degree programmes in the Business School. Therefore the scope of our economics research ranges widely, covering areas such as corporate and international finance, banking, microeconomics, industrial organisation and business strategy, institutional and development economics. The economics of health and labour economics (including issues of ageing) are also important fields of interest.

There is also a clustering of research activity addressing applied and policy-relevant economic issues specific to emerging, transition and developing countries.
