The UK’s leading summer school
The Middlesex Summer School is widely recognised - both locally and internationally - as the largest integrated summer school for university level study in the UK. The Summer School has been growing steadily for 14 years and in 2009 over 1000 students from a variety of backgrounds studied on nearly 90 courses.
In addition to Middlesex and other UK-based students, the Summer School was delighted to welcome visitors from many other countries including Austria, Canada, Denmark, Dubai, Italy, France, India, Ghana, Greece, Spain, Turkey and the USA.
Who attends Summer School?
Our Summer School students include current undergraduates and postgraduates topping up their studies, students from other universities and adult learners pursuing interests or developing their skills. As a student with us it is up to you whether you study for academic credit or for fun.
Our classes are small, friendly and interactive and our courses are chosen to reflect diverse subject interests and to cater for people with different levels of background knowledge, as well as for their intrinsic appeal. Many classes are of an introductory nature and require no prior study.
University students find the Summer School an excellent vehicle to earn academic credits towards their degrees, or to change academic direction.
International students take advantage of the exciting social and cultural package, which enhances the academic element of their time at Middlesex. Local adult learners can develop professionally or cultivate a special interest, and choose whether be assessed for credit.
Whatever your reason for studying at Summer School, the beautiful Trent Park campus is an ideal setting to stimulate the learning process and exchange ideas and experiences with fellow students, often forming the basis for lasting friendships. Many Summer School students return year after year and others are inspired to continue their studies either at Middlesex or other institutions.
