ArtistI chose Middlesex University after visiting the Fine Art department with a friend on a trip to London. We wandered around the studios and spoke with tutors and students. Despite arriving late (we'd spent the entire day looking at other art colleges throughout London), the studios were still busy. I was impressed with the range of work and seriousness of the students.
I enjoyed the fact that every department interacted with each other. Within the Fine Art department, barriers didn't exist between disciplines. I was able to experiment with photography and printmaking while still spending most of my time painting.
I paint every day. And usually work late. My work is very time-consuming and laborious so I try hard to be disciplined. I definitely spend an equal amount of time emailing, updating my website, scheduling meetings, and numerous other studio activities, as I do painting.
Being able to do what I love the most. My work is my ultimate concern – I feel lucky that I'm able to paint every day.
There are quite a few highlights I'm proud of: being selected for the Berwick Gymnasium Arts Fellowship by English Heritage, a large-scale public commission for Brighton Arts Festival funded by Arts Council England, numerous solo and group shows, and, most recently, my collaboration with the Swiss fashion house Akris.
Be punctual, take responsibility and get a proper website.

I'm busy working on new paintings for a few different shows and art fairs. I have a few top secret plans I'm currently finalising too!
