Alumni take a fresh approach to chocolate

Middlesex alumni Matt & Geri are exciting chocolate-lovers everywhere with the launch of their unique luxury chocolate subscription CocoaCrave

Matt & GeriCocoaCrave Chocolate Club provides its customers with 24 luxury chocolates, each hand-made by master chocolatiers from across the globe. These are packaged into 6 smaller boxes, each of which hold a different type of chocolate, and are delivered straight to the customer's door.

"One of the things that makes CocoaCrave so special is that it's not a fussy subscription. The chocolates don't come with lengthy tasting notes, it's just a variety of delicious chocolate – nice and simple! The chocolatiers are always working on new selections for us to include as well, so we know that every box we send our customers has a new surprise in it." Matt told Middlesex.

The inspiration behind CocoaCrave came when Matt and Geri took the plunge and moved in together, a year after graduating from Middlesex. Geri's love of chocolate gave Matt the perfect way to surprise her each month, but as their relationship continued to bloom Matt found he was beginning to exhaust the options available in stores.

Despite searching out chocolate festivals and trawling high-street luxury chains, the couple quickly found that the chocolate market lacked inspiration and decided that setting up their own business was the only way to go.

Just two years later, with 1 July 2015 marking the official launch, the couple have brought their vision to life.

CocoaCraveSpeaking about the highlight of their journey so far Matt told Middlesex, "Getting our first orders felt amazing. It's such a good feeling to know that you've reached your market and the feedback from the CocoaCravers has been great, they loved their chocolates."

For anyone hoping to try out CocoaCrave in person, Matt and Geri will be at The Chocolate Festival in Islington from 4th-6th December.
