When looking at universities, what inspired you to apply to Middlesex?
My inspiration for applying to Middlesex University came from the range of diverse courses they provide, which are relevant for each individual's future career and ambitions. In addition, I have family members who attended Middlesex and I received excellent reviews from them about the university and the student facilities.
What was it about the course that motivated you to apply for it?
I always knew I wanted to work with children but I was not 100 % sure as to which field. So when looking at the BA Early Childhood Studies course, I found that the course would provide me with a good background to ideas and practices taken from a variety of disciplines, such as psychology, history, law and management. I also found that the course has a high employability rate, which reinforced my desire to apply.
What have you enjoyed about the course?
The course required me to do placement in a nursery, I enjoyed every minute of that! Also, socialising with new people and building relationships with tutors was something I really enjoyed doing.
What are your ambitions for the future and how do you think your time at Middlesex will help you achieve them?
I am eager to pursue a career as a primary school teacher. I've applied to do the PGCE (Primary Education) with Middlesex University and have received a conditional offer. The Early Childhood Studies course has made my determination for teaching stronger. All the tutors are extremely supportive and have been helping me to pass the skills test, which is a requirement for the PGCE.
Would you recommend Middlesex to prospective students considering going to university?
Yes I definitely would as it is a great university with excellent facilities, high standards and a good location. I have already recommended it to some people who are currently in their first year at Middlesex.
