Dr Louise Boulter is Programme Leader for the BA Business Management (Generalist) programme which is one of the largest across the University. She is Module Leader for several undergraduate and postgraduate modules including Service Operations Management, Organisational Change and Strategy, Leadership and the Management of Organisations.
Louise's reserach is focussed on individual and organisational performance. In particular she is interested in outlier performance both negative and positive and its causes. Her most current research is focussed on Positive Deviants and Corporate Psychopaths. Louise is an author of many papers and books. This includes a 4 star publication in the International Journal of Operations and Production Management and several books for the Financial Times, one of which is best-seller and translated into several languages.
More recently Louise has been the academic adviser to the advisory panel at the Chartered Quality Institute. Louise is a member of the British Psychological Society (MBPsS), she is also a qualified lawyer and the former Deputy Director of the Centre of Quality Excellence at the University of Leicester. She has travelled extensively throughout the US, SEA and Europe.

Louise is the Programme Leader for one of the largest undergraduate programmes at the University. She has taught at every level in higher education in the areas of Service Operations Management, Services Marketing Management, Organisational Change, and Organisational Performance. She is currently supervising DBA and PhD students.
