Biography
Keith Buckland joined Middlesex University in 2011. Keith is a Senior Lecturer in the Institute for Work Based Learning. Keith holds programme leadership and programme development responsibilities within the Institute for Work Based Learning. He is also a Module Leader for undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Work Based and Professional Studies.
Earlier in his career Keith qualified as a Mechanical Engineer and has worked in a range of industry settings. He subsequently trained in teaching. Keith has worked as a Curriculum Leader and as the Head of School of Engineering at Hull College. During this period Keith led the development of a wide range of work-based provision within organisations based in the manufacturing, petro-chemical and engineering construction sectors. Organizations that Keith has worked with include: Unilever, BAe Systems, B.P. (Angola), Doosan Babcock, B.P. (UK) and Hygena Ltd. Keith has also been a national moderator and examiner for courses in engineering.
More recently, at the Institute for Work Based Learning, Keith has been working with professionals from around the world and helping them to develop their own professional practice. This has included working with students from sectors as diverse as, finance, construction, teaching and aviation.
