Dr Cai is Senior Lecturer in Interantional Buisness & Innovation, Programme Director for BA International Business Administration and BA Buisness and Management (To-Up), the Ph.D Coordinator of International Management and Innovation Department at Middlesex University London, and a visiting Professor at the School of Economics & Management, Zhejiang SCI-TECH University and Jiaxing University in China. She started her lectureship in the Business School at Middlesex University London in 2015 and became Senior Lecturer in 2017. Prior to joining Middlesex, Dr Cai had been a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Huddersfield School, U.K. Dr. Helen Cai supervises PhD students and she has been an external examiner for a number of UK universities
Before coming to the UK, she has ten years of work experience in the Central Bank and the largest state-owned Bank – Industry and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) in China, working as Senior Economist and Middle-Manager and an Associate Professor in international business & economics, innovation and financial management in the high academic institutions; also as an industry consultant for Multinationals' Investment and High-Tech Industry Investment in China.
