Shyam is the Technical Tutor at the London Sport Institute.
He is the programme leader for the Distance Education Strength & Conditoning MSc and also lectures on the Performance Analysis MSc programme.
He is an accredited strength & conditioning coach with the UK Strength & Conditioning Association (UKSCA) and the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), as well as a certified exercise specialist with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
Shyams is currently undetaking his PhD in the optimastion of performance in Weightlifting. This includes understanding the most up to date methods for measuring and enhancing strength, power and technique, and how to use this information to inform the delivery of appropriate programming.

Shyam is also the lead Performance Scientist at British Weightlifting, where his duties include developing and conducting research to aid in the monitoring and performance of international weightlifters. Parallel to this he is also the head weightlifting coach for Middlesex University where he coaches international to regional level weightlifters.
