Pedro was born in Rio de Janeiro, where he started performing in 1993. He has worked as an actor, director, designer and translator. His play A Tregédia de Ismene, princesa de Tebas won the first Seleção Brasil em Cena (2006), a national award for new writing.
Pedro joined Middlesex University in 2012, having been Course Leader for Performing Arts, at Buckinghamshire New University. He is the Programme Leader for the BA (Hons) Theatre Arts (Theatre Direcitng) at Middlesex.

Student Choice in the Curriculum
A small scale research project, investigating practices in Higher Education on the nature and level of student choice in theatre and drama courses. This researchwas commissioned and funded by the HEA via its Academic Associate scheme. March-June 2013.
