Dr Alex Elwick joined Middlesex University in 2016. Previously he was the research officer at Education Development Trust, an education charity and consultancy based in Reading. He has an AHRC-funded PhD in Museum and Gallery Studies (completed in 2013) and has been a British Research Council Fellow at the Kluge Center, Library of Congress, Washington DC.
As well as being a Lecturer at Middlesex University, Alex is also a Lecturer in Education at UCL Institute of Education.

Alex is particularly interested in education policy and the use of research evidence in education. His previous work has focused on education system reform (both in the UK and internationally); school effectiveness and school improvement; higher education policy; and learning in museums and art galleries.
