Alireza has over 10 years of research and teaching experience in Australia and UK academia. His research and teaching are focused on the innovation management and organisation, and strategic innovation. He is curious about the phenomenon of innovation in the context of organizations and learning about the relationships between innovation and development of strategic capabilities within organizations. Alireza has 20+ peer reviewed publications in form of journal and conference papers as well as industry reports, including publications in several reputable journals in the field of strategy, innovation, organisation and technology management. Alireza co-leads the Science and Technology Communication research cluster for the Management, Leadership and Organisations Department. He is Program Leader for BA Project Management program. He also has engineering background and several years of experience in different managerial roles. Based on his academic and industry background, he uses applied research to solve real world problems and help organizations change and adopt new and sustainable technologies, and survive against the disruptive forces. Alireza is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of Engineers Australia.
Qualifications
Alireza is an active researcher in the area of scholarship of teaching and learning, and has accumulated extensive knowledge and understanding of the different facets of Higher Education. Aa a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, he is keen on using innovative teaching practices in the flipped classroom environment, and evidence and problem based teaching. He has developed and taught a variety of courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the fields of innovation management, technology management, product and service development, entrepreneurship, international management and entrepreneurship, and operation management. Alireza is an experienced higher degrees supervisor and keen to take on doctoral candidates in any of these areas. He is leading several modules at the Department of Management Leadership and Organisations across multiple UK and international campuses.
