Dr Juntti's research focusses on environmental governance, with particular attention to representation of humans and nature, the interplay of expert and lay knowledge and the processes through which evidence is recruited into governance. Her aim is to provide guidance for more effective and legitimate environmental policy and planning.
Empirically, Dr Juntti's research has focussed on the EU’s agricultural and rural development policies and the UN Convention on Combatting Desertification. She has also undertaken research in the UK and Brazil, examining the role of environmental policy in delivering socially just outcomes in disadvantaged urban contexts and the social impact of urban greenspace in regeneration.
