I teach across different modules and programmes and I’m committed to high quality teaching and learning student experience with a particular interest in practice learning. I teach advanced clinical examination skills. I’ve also lead an extensive clinically based CPD portfolio and I’m the Accreditation Link Tutor for my Faculty; I’m also the University Practice Lead for the Royal Free Hospital. I read my PhD in Nursing and Psychology and my thesis title is “Trait-emotional intelligence: a strategy for managing nurses affective wellbeing at work”. My research interests are: trait-emotional intelligence, emotional wellbeing, mental health, clinical practice learning and education, reflection in action and on action in clinical practice, communication skills training, diagnostic skills, retention and recruitment. My clinical background is haematology/bone marrow transplantation and oncology nursing. I’m also an experienced PGR supervisor and I’m a mixed methods researcher with an interest in IPA method.
