I hold a PhD in Management from the University of Newcastle in Australia, where I emphasized strategy and cognitive psychology.
At the broadest level, my research falls in behavioural strategy and strategic change. I seek to better understand how managerial cognitions are related to organisational capabilities and firm performance. At the specific level, I am interested in managerial decision-making processes, particularly in an uncertain environment. The dominant lenses through which I investigate my interest are heuristic reasoning, with the specific focus on fast-and-frugal heuristic in cognitive psychology, and opportunity creation and discovery in the entrepreneurship literature.
