Vinita Mithani is a lecturer in the Accounting & Finance Department. She is a chartered accountant (member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) and has over fifteen years' experience in Practice.
She was previously a senior manager in a City firm of accountants servicing owner managed businesses. She managed her clients' personal and corporate tax planning, tax compliance, statutory audit and financial reporting.
More recently she was Head of Finance in a commercial organisation; during that time, Vinita was a part-time lecturer at the University, where she had been leading the module, Financial Aspects of Business.
As from the 16/17 academic year, Vinita has moved across fully into academia, but she continues to strive to bring her practical experience into her teaching to make the subject real and relevant to her students. She is module leading ACC1115 Management Accounting this academic year (16/17).
