Dr Tatiana Novoselova has recently joined Middlesex University London as a Lecturer in Neuroscience after working as a postdoctoral research associate in the field of neuroendocrinology, neuroscience and protein biochemistry. As a a medical doctor and a scientist, Tatiana combines basic science knowledge and skills she obtained during her studies with clinical expertise. Throughout her career Tatiana received a number of prestigious awards and she is an author a number of original research papers as well as reviews

Tatiana teaches a number of neuroscience modules for the students studying biomedical sciences and she is the module leader for the "Brain disorders" module.
Tatiana is curretly completing her studies for the Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (2020)
Tatiana's research interests are mainly in the field of neurodegegnrative diseases and the role of chaperones in the pathogenesis of such disorders. In particular, Tatiana studies the link between ataxia and other neurodegegnrative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease. She is also interested in the metabolic regulation in the brain and how obesity in mid-life can be linked to increased risk of dementia later in life
