Jane is a trainer in the Prevention and Management of Violence & Aggression (PMVA) [General Services Association model] at Middlesex University, London. In addition to her role as a trainer, Jane is a member of the Middlesex University Educational Quality Review team which carries out the review of the placement areas for the University's nursing students.
Before joining the University, Jane worked as a Community Support Assistant and Physical Intervention Trainer with Harrow Learning Disability Team, Harrow Primary Care Trust England. She also worked as a Senior Day Care Facilitator with Harrow Mencap England. She worked for several years as an Auxiliary Nurse/Support Worker in a number of hospitals and care homes in and around the North and North West of London.
Prior to joining the health sector, Jane had graduated in hotel catering and management. She worked as a Catering Superintendent at Lakefield Catering & Educational Centre, Hampstead, London and as the Personnel Manager at Nike Lake Resort Hotel (4 Star), Enugu, Nigeria where she transformed a dejected looking workforce of 250 mostly young men and women into one with a renewed sense of belongingness, job satisfaction and a cheerful demeanour.
Jane also worked as a Mathematics teacher for fifteen years in post primary schools in Nigeria.
