My research and practice is all within the field of attachment. I am a UKCP registered attachment-based psychoanalytic psychotherapist and a member of the Bowlby Centre.

My research seeks to advance the understanding of the mechanisms underlying the relationship/health link, especially earlier on in the lifespan. In the main, my studies have investigated attachment style in relation to objective, physiological markers of well-being. My interests include processes underlying connection (attachment, bonding) and disconnection (separation, loss and loneliness).
I am a member of the Psychophysiology and Stress Research Group, University of Westminster and the Centre for Abuse and Trauma Studies, Middlesex University. For the latter group, I also work as a consultant and accredited trainer for the Attachment Style Interview.
