Maja is a lecturer in Economics at Middlesex University Business School. She graduated with first class honors degree in Management from Birkbeck, University of London and with MSc in European Political Economy-Transition from London School of Economics (LSE). Her PhD is fully funded by ESRC and National Endowment for Science Technology and Arts (NESTA) at Birkbeck, Department of Management.

Prior to embarking on an academic career Maja worked as a Labour Market Analyst at the Office for National Statistics and in international development at Christian Aid and the British Red Cross- International Division.
