In five years, we've trained almost 2,000 nurses and midwives to care for the two million people who live in Barnet and the London boroughs of our partner institutions. Which means that if you are cared for by a nurse or midwife in a hospital in north London, there is a good chance they are a Middlesex University graduate.
We pride ourselves on our ability to give students the best possible start in their nursing and midwifery careers. They receive unrivalled placement opportunities thanks to our close connections with healthcare partners. Throughout their studies and well into their practice, our students benefit from the support and guidance of our talented teaching staff, many of whom are thought leaders in their field.
We were the first university to offer a European Nursing degree, allowing our students extra opportunities to explore and excel in their field. We work collaboratively to impact nursing practice. A recent joint project with the Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust allowed us to launch a programme enabling overseas-trained nurses to qualify for practice in the UK, responding to an urgent shortage in the workforce.
We create passionate, engaged professionals ready to provide first-class care, contribute to their local communities and shape the future of their profession.
