Our PGCert Business is ideal for those who want to work towards an MBA more flexibly. It includes core modules which are essential to an MBA and you can decide whether or not to progress your studies to a PGDip or full MBA. If you want to take a break between levels, you'll be automatically eligible to progress your studies without re-applying within a two year period.

Why study Business (Online Distance Learning) PGCert at Middlesex University?

We now offer a flexible range of study options which allow you to study for a stand-alone PGCert Business or to continue your studies progressively via a PGDip to an MBA.

You can begin this course in September, January or April. Although module choices for any term are fixed so make sure the modules you want are being offered in the right term.

You'll have the flexibility to study online and alongside students on our Global Online MBA with the same modules in order to maximise the learning experience.

If you choose to progress your studies to an MBA, you'll be prepared for the challenges of management by exploring the latest thinking in business across a variety of sectors within an international context. We place a high focus on both theory and practice, and you'll have the opportunity to work on a field-based consulting project as well as your final project. This means you'll develop your consulting skills by writing a business plan or engaging in a more traditional academic report.

Course highlights

  • Flexible study and progression opportunities
  • An emphasis on both theory and practice is central to our teaching approach
  • You will also gain a CMI (Chartered Management Institute) qualification in addition to your degree, without additional study or assessment, if you progress to successful completion of an MBA
