Emergency First Aid at Work

Emergency First Aid at Work is a QA Level 3 Award (RQF) designed for individuals who wish to act as an emergency first aider in their workplace and is ideal for nominated first aid staff over the age of 16 who woke in low risk environments. Overview

This six hour course covers a wide range of basic lifesaving first aid practical skills and knowledge which can be taught either at our training centre at Middlesex University, Hendon, or at your place of work.

Course content

Over the course of this programme, delegates will explore:

  • The roles and responsibilities of an emergency first aider
  • Assessing an incident
  • Managing an unresponsive casualty
  • CPR and defibrillation
  • Recovery Position
  • Choking
  • Seizures
  • Shock
  • Wounds and bleeding
  • Minor injuries
  • Cuts, grazes and bruises
  • Minor burns and scalds

Assessment

There is a continual assessment of the practical element and a multiple-choice question paper at the end of the day.

Fees and booking

Places are £125 per person (No VAT)

Upon completion delegates will be issued with a nationally recognised certificate, valid for 3 years. The course fee also includes a first aid booklet.
