We will be discussing the stigma around men's mental health, as well as the changing culture and what support is available

We believe everyone should be able to talk about their mental health without fear of stigma, and that support services should be available and accessible to anyone who is struggling. Each month, we will explore a different theme to increase awareness around important mental health topics. This month’s theme is Exploring Men’s Mental Health, where we will be discussing the stigma around men's mental health, as well as the changing culture and what support is available.

We will be hearing from a fantastic panel of Middlesex University staff and students and for this month's panel we will be welcoming:

  • AndrĂ© Thompson (Alumni Data & Engagement Officer, and former MDXSU Vice President of Art & Design, Media & Performing Arts)
  • Ant Babajee (CRM Manager and Public Health student, as well as Co-Chair of the staff LGBT+ Forum)
  • Khalid Abumaye (MDXSU Vice President Science & Technology) Tai Oniti (Sports Development Officer for MDX Sport)
  • Umar Ullah (Business Investor, Mentor & Mental Health Advocate)

The panel will be chaired by Tahmina Choudhery, MDXSU Vice President Professional & Social Sciences. The audience will have the opportunity to ask questions and get involved in discussions.
