Join our seminar discussion and converse candidly about criminal justice issues.

This seminar discussion aims to bring together an audience to discuss criminal justice issues, to highlight detail in regard to sentencing law and policy that have direct and negative impacts on the size of the prison population and which can feasibly be altered to lower the persistently high prison population.

Our speakers include those concerned with what is an enduring strain of ‘retributive justice’ in sentencing policy, the significant and radical changes to the probation service under the 2013 ‘Transforming Rehabilitation’ framework and the consequent way probation services are managed in London.

The event begin at 9.15am with coffee and pastries and the opportunity for networking. Presentations and discussion will start at 9.45am and a buffet lunch will be provided.

The event is free to attend but must be booked in advance via Eventbrite.

Advance questions for panel discussion can be submitted via email to Jenni Ward or Matt Cracknell.
